A couple of weeks ago I came across an article by the Independent that talked about the Australian government's fury over the cover of Art Monthly Australia that featured a portrait of a nude 7 year old girl.
The Prime Minister Kevin Rudd called the cover "disgusting", which equally outraged critics. From the article:
This month's taxpayer-funded Art Monthly Australia magazine placed the photograph of the young dark-haired girl on the cover, sitting and with one nipple showing, to protest censorship of a recent photo exhibition featuring similarly naked children.
Apparently, no one mentioned to the conservative Christian PM that art doesn't equate pornography. Interestingly enough, the mother of the child, Olympia Nelson (now 11) took this portrait in 2003 and has had it in public exhibition for "some time."

Why it was under controversy, it is an art.
